During the opening remarks, the Deputy Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Igor Stokoz, noted that the process of the formation of a civil society is still continuing in Ukraine.
“Of course, over the past four years, the civil society of our country has become qualitatively different. The processes that have become the catalyst for the development of this society have determined the further vector of development. Public organizations were among the first to begin to defend an active position, to help the army, and later on some activists went to the authorities, a uniquely positive trend. There is still a difficult path ahead. We need to create appropriate conditions for the life of people here, precisely in the Donetsk region, ”said Igor Stokoz.
The forum participants reviewed the practices of interaction between representatives of civil society institutions and authorities, the implementation of their own initiatives aimed at the development of society, the role of youth in the development of civil society, and the practice of providing social services to community activists.
